How can we help?
Virtual Classes
What are the software / hardware requirements for virtual classes?
Our virtual classes are hosted right in your web browser so there's no need to download software or an app. You can use any device with a web browser, however we recommend a tablet sized screen or larger. Phone screens are typically too small to view the entire classroom whiteboard space.
You will need a strong internet connection, a webcam, microphone and speakers. The webcam, microphone & speakers built into your device will work great ;)
Our classroom whiteboard is interactive so we recommend using a tablet or other large touchscreen device if your child is not yet able to use a mouse with ease.

What is the recommended age for virtual classes?
Virtual classes are most effective for children who are able to use a computer, mouse and/or touchscreen fairly independently.
Can all of my children use the same email address?
To use the Las Lengüitas Virtual Platform, you will a separate login email for each child enrolled. To bypass this you can use a 'catch all' email.
This works with Gmail, Zoho & Hotmail/Outlook among others but it does not work with all email providers. If you do not receive a confirmation email or reminder emails before your class, please email CustomerSupport@LasLenguitas.com for help in resolving the issue.
To use a 'catch all' address, you'll add a '+' with the child's name immediately before the '@'. Each email formatted this way will go to the same inbox. For example, Jennifer has 2 children, Michael & Lily, and her email address is jennifer@gmail.com. Any of the following emails would arrive in her jennifer@gmail.com inbox:
jennifer@email.com
jennifer+michael@email.com
jennifer+lily@email.com

Yes, an adult should be present to help with technical difficulties, to help redirect distracted young kids or to communicate with the teacher if needed. Please stay nearby but off-screen throughout the class.
Are subscriptions available for online classes?

Help! I can't get past the equipment check to enter the classroom?
Typically there is one of three reasons for this:
1) You may be too early. Students can log in to their classroom up to 5 minutes before the scheduled start of their class.
2) If you're stuck on the equipment checks and you do NOT see the 3 green boxes, scroll down. They may just below the bottom of your screen. You must check all 3 boxes in order to enter. This ensures that you're all set for the best possibly experience once inside the classroom.
3) If you're not able to check the third green box on the far right, be sure to click the 'Test Sound' button. Once the tone plays you can check the box. If you don't hear the tone, you may need to turn up the speaker volume on your device.
Your teacher is able to see when you are logged in and doing equipment checks. If you are stuck in the equipment checks for more time than expected, they will reach out to you via chat right on that screen to help you problem solve the situation.
